A Dining Adventure: Charter a Boat to Your Favorite Restaurant

When friends and family come to town, it means a boat trip to get food somewhere. Going out to eat by boat is about four times better than going out by car.  Many local restaurants have docks that make it easy to pull right up. Below I have included some descriptions of my favorite spots with links in case you want to do more research.

Kaler's Crab and Lobster

Located right in downtown Boothbay Harbor, Kalers has been around for more than 25 years.  A great spot to bring kids, Kalers has plenty of choices and they have outdoor seating in the heart of the harbor.

Boothbay Lobster Wharf

One line for drinks, one for boiled seafood, one for dessert, and one for everything else.  Located right in Boothbay Harbor, we get fuel and ice here, so this is a regular stop for us.

Five Islands Lobster Company

You can not beat this spot for its location.  My family and friends love to go to Five Islands and don’t mind the sometimes long lines.  Similar to the Boothbay Lobster Wharf in organization, Five Islands, however, is BYOB.  Located just a few miles from Boothbay, a trip by boat can be much quicker than by car as it is located on Georgetown Island.

The Contented Sole

We would go to the Contented Sole Often if it were a little closer.  Located in New Harbor Maine, the Contented Soul is sit-down service.   There is a lot to see while you hang on their large open deck situated at the mouth of Pemaquid Harbor right next to Fort William Henry.  They have good food as well.

Coastal Prime

This is a fancy pants spot where you can have dinner or drinks on their luxurious outside deck.  Last year, some of our happiest clients got picked up at their private dock and then to Coastal Prime for drinks and back.

Boothbay Harbor Public Landing

Access any of the restaurants in Boothbay Harbor including my favorite restaurant in town, Ports of Italy.  Or, just grab a beer at the Market and a pizza at Pier One and get right back on the boat.
